17 Sep 07 Btw my elevator has been shifted back to the master bedroom w/o the trailing edges and hinges being riveted(to be postponed tolater stage in order to facilitate transportation out of the condo in the future)
Oh yes..The photo shows a Sportsman 2 + 2 kitplane completed by Marc Cook , editor of Kitplane magazine. His kitplane was the first prototype to undergo the two weeks to taxi program at Arlington. It also features the new Lycoming IO-390 (210 hps) with a Hartzell constant speed prop. He was extremely kind enough to give me a ride in his Sportsman during my duty to LA. Seen here inside his hangar at Torrance Airport near Doubletree Hotel where i stayed.
Thanx again, Marc for the lovely enjoyable flight of my life!

12 Sep 07 Let the blind riveting begin for rest of the rivet holes.Here, i used 1/8" AAPQ-42 blind rivets.

12 Sep 07 I ended up blinded riveting the remaining three holes on the base of the trim tab control horn due to no other better solution.

12 Sep 07 Back to the trim tab..Riveting the counterweight arm to the trim horn using 1/8" AN470AD4 with exception to three rivet holes due to violation of edge spacing. See next photo.

focused my attention back to riveting the lower partial aft spar to the lower skin.

Note: The other three holes were left unriveted for the time being due to the limited access for bucking underneath. Later , they were blind riveted.

11 Sep 07 Stopping to rest at the end of the day..Here the lower left skin has been riveted to the forward spar. Note, i have not followed the sequence of the manual coz the quieter blind riveting could be done after 5pm ( to avoid complaints from the neighbours)

11 Sep 07 With the forward spar put back in place, the lower skin was riveted to the spaar using 3/32" AN470AD3 universal head rivets.
